How does it work?

You hand in your clothes. For each garment or accessory brought in you will receive a voucher to take another one. Women’s clothes only, any size

Bring only undamaged, good quality, clean clothes

Clothes left over and not swapped will be given to charity

Clothing swap & Creative Repair – Bellinzona

A day open to everyone, focused on clothing exchange, repair, creative reuse, and raising awareness about the environmental impact of the fashion industry.

The event will feature various activities, including a dedicated clothing swap area (women, men, children), a repair station with industry experts (to learn and co-create together), practical workshops, and discussions on fast fashion and more sustainable alternatives.

Time: 9:00-13.30

Location: via Franco Zorzi 13, Bellinzona (Dipartimento del Territorio)

Detailed programme:

From 9:00: Info point on circular fashion, clothing swap, repair station and on-demand tailoring stations

9:30 – 10:30: Creative mending and embroidery workshop – led by Lorena Girò

10:30: Presentation of the Clothing Loop Bellinzona project and start of aperitivo

11:00 – 12:00: Repurposing T-shirts into eco-friendly sponges workshop – led by Lorena Girò

Let’s repair!

During this international repair day; we invite you to join us at Spazio ELLE, and repair as many things as we can together! Bring your broken lamps, teddys and bikes.

What awaits you:

Repair profis from around Locarno and the Canton in clothes, electronics, bikes and all-round who can do small repairs for you
Small workshops to teach you what you can fix at home!
Inspiration, tips and videos
A mini used-goods market organised by the Oggetoteca team, which is also open all day
Activities for kids
Great food from the vegetarian foodtruck

.. and much more!

When? 10.00-18.00

How? We will try to set up as many activities as possible outside so we can enjoy it all. For the inside repairs you need a COVID-certificate.

Where? Spazio ELLE, Piazza Pedrazzini
