It gives such a positive feeling to use what is out there; it\u2019s fun and rewarding. One of these things, that many people forget about, are sunflowers and their seeds. Very healthy (Omega 6!).\r\n\r\nIt\u2019s not difficult at all &#8211; you just need to find the right moment. Harvesting begins as soon as the flower heads change color (turns yellow). Then you can easily take the seeds out.\r\n\r\nSteps:\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Rinse under tap water<\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Dry on a towel (if possible in sun)<\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Remove any seeds that don\u2019t look good<\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Put in a jar and keep .. in fridge (or roast, or in freezer)<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\nCheck for more details <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nSi-HwkVJeg\">this tutorial<\/a><\/strong>, or one of the many other there are online. .\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nOther things to harvest and enjoy around this time of year\r\n\r\nMushrooms &gt;&gt; Especially when you find the \u00ab\u00a0porcini\u00a0\u00bb you&rsquo;ll be in for a treat.
