Lebensmittel retten kann so einfach und lecker sein!

Gemeinsam mit anderen Foodsave-Teams organisieren wir einen Gemüse-Fermentations workshop in der Markthalle.

Du lernst nicht nur, wie du Gemüse ganz einfach haltbar machen kannst, sondern auch, warum fermentierte Produkte so gesund sind und wie wichtig Lebensmittelrettung für unsere Umwelt ist. Bitte bring dein eigenes Glas mit!

In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Foodsave Bankett Basel.

Did you know that many things that are good for our wellbeing are also good for nature?

For example, eating more seasonal food means using less energy to produce it. Buying less stuff but choosing better helps protect natural resources.

Most people want to do what’s best for their health and the world around them, but the constant stream of advice can leave us feeling overwhelmed rather than empowered.

GoSimple is a guided experience towards a more nature-connected way of living that supports your wellbeing, through practical changes that are easy to adopt and maintain.

No perfection. No complicated rules. No overwhelm.

Through 4 hands-on workshops, weekly fun challenges, local experiences, and community support, you’ll build small, realistic habits that fit in everyday life.

17 October → Module 2: Less Waste, More Freedom
7 November → Module 3: Local Living and Smart Mobility
5 December → Module 4: Making Habits Stick

Developed with the University of Basel and supported by the City of Basel, the program has helped hundreds of people embrace a more conscious lifestyle since 2022.

94% of them highly recommend it. They described the experience as “eye-opening”, “inspiring”, and “enriching” and valued becoming part of a community.

It’s a great way to meet like-minded people and connect more with local life in Basel.

You’ll learn about sustainable eating habits that benefit both your health and the environment, while also discovering how various factors like transportation, food production, and packaging contribute to your personal carbon footprint. We’ll discuss the problem of food waste and explore practical, everyday tips to reduce it.

To make it even more interactive, we’ll get active and try out some food-saving recipes together!

This workshop is all about creating less waste and contributing to a simpler circular society.

Come together with likeminded people and learn simple ways to reduce your waste and make more eco-friendly choices, do exercises around our circular economy with experts Afrom the GreenUp workshop team, bring home simple natural products you made yourself, plus get and share tips about a minimal waste lifestyle in your city. During the last hour with Beáta Szablics we will engage in exercises on how stress and being online affect us and our environment, and how slowing down and living simply can make a big difference.

GoSimple Program: Local Living & Smart Mobility Workshop

In this GoSimple workshop, we’ll go on a city safari and experience different sustainability concepts and shops.

We will explore how to support local businesses and make smarter choices when shopping. Mobility is the second topic. You’ll learn about and exchange tips about different ways to get around the city and from and to Basel without needing a car.

GoSimple Program: Making Habits Stick

Learn about change-making techniques, do an exercise on what you want to stop, start, and continue, and get inspired by experts and like-minded people. With expert inputs from Zsofia Molnar from Novartis Plant Based Greenteam , and Michaela Reimann, from the Basel 2037, you’ll look at ways to get involved in your community. Whether it’s through volunteering or starting your project to help your neighborhood or in your company, their stories will inspire all. At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a plan for staying on track with your new sustainable habits and making a positive impact in your city. And celebrate your successes with your peers!
